So much. I learned how to be more independent, including finding my way around new cities by myself. I learned how to navigate another culture, including becoming pretty proficient in the language. I also learned to appreciate all the things that were different from home that I both liked and didn't feel as comfortable with. I f... Jonah Venegas - Bethel University View Entire Review
My ability to understand and speak Spanish improved a ton! Emma Freebersyser - Bethel University View Entire Review
I learned how to speak Spanish. I had more than 4-5 years of high school and college level Spanish experience, but I was unable to hold a conversation. Now, I can claim I know Spanish and show it too. It was worth the hard work and I would do it over again if given the opportunity. John Migliore - Bethel University View Entire Review

I gained confidence in myself, and the immense value of communicating with others, especially in their language. I was able to connect with people on the other side of the world, celebrate our similarities, learn from our differences, and create lasting memories. I gained a better use of the language and a much deeper understanding of Spain's history and culture. lauren - Bethel University View Entire Review
What I gained from the experience abroad was that I can do and be a lot more than I give myself credit for. If you would tell me now that I could understand all of the Spanish that I do and actually feel comfortable speaking it, a year ago, I wouldn’t believe you. About
The academic components of our semester programs are strongly differentiated.
The Fall semester program is designed for students with a higher level of Spanish. The only language class offered in the fall program is Spanish Conversation, and all classes are taught in Spanish by university faculty. This program is ideal for students interested in a true immersion experience. The list of class offerings is broad, and students can take classes in Spanish literature, history and art, business (economics, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources), communications, film, photography, sociology, psychology, etc.
Spring semester, however, although equally attractive to the student interested in an immersion experience (many of the same classes are offered), does not require a high level of Spanish. The spring program has a broader offering of language classes, and more importantly, the option of combining Spanish language classes with several classes taught in English.
Agreement of Collaboration with the University of Valladolid (UVA), Segovia Campus.
CEHS has an agreement of collaboration with the University of Valladolid (UVA), Segovia Campus, so besides registering for CEHS classes, CEHS students may take classes at the UVA. In the sections with the semester highlights, CEHS classes are posted, and you can follow the link to the UVA classes offered in fall and spring.
