CEA CAPA Education Abroad: London, England

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about art. My minor is in arts administration so the fact that I was able to learn so much about Modern Art and see most of it in person, was incredible. I will always remember that, and miss how accessible some of the greatest pieces of art where to me.

* Housing:

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Living with a family made social and cultural integration happen much faster than the rest of my peers who lived in flats.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had ample opportunity to travel and learn while abroad. My learning was also experiential. I went to museums and traveled to other countries and witnessed some of the things discussed in class.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? If I was traveling my expenses were higher, but when I was in London it would be about $25/week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Do a homestay and pack lunch when you go to your internship.
