What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much while I was abroad. I learned so much about the culture and different perspectives. It was definitely worthwhile.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes were very engaging and collaborative. In most on my classes I had to work in some type of a group and make a presentation. Some of my classes were also Global Networked with students in Australia. Overall, the classes were challenging and a good amount of work was provided.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The front desk on site was very helpful and friendly. They were willing to help out with any questions that I had.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I did a homestay while I was abroad. I really enjoyed living with my homestay family. They were really welcoming and friendly making my experience that much better.

* Food:

The was amazing! Going to the markets and trying different restaurants around the city was my favorite part.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

People are very friendly and easy going. I managed to make a good amount of local friends that I hung out with regularly.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe in London the whole time I was there.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

If I were to do it all over again I would do an exchange program. Reason being is I would like to take classes with locals and local professors.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I recommend saving a good amount of money before the program. The sterling is much stronger than the American Dollar. After the exchange rates and fees the money lost really added up.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
