Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I believe you fully control the quality of your educational experience while you're abroad. With the immense amount of traveling I did, I was not able to always be in class. However, I did enjoy the classes I was in and found them to be academically challenging. The teaching styles that the UK employs are fairly different than my host university, so that took a bit of adjustment on my part. I had to change up my learning style and stay motivated in a whirlwind of traveling.

* Host Country Program Administration

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Integrating with the culture has been fairly easy. Upon arrival, I was worried about easily integrating myself, but after meeting people from both the US and the UK, I found it to be natural. People are people, no matter where you travel to. There are many different cultural cues, sayings, and actions I had to get accustomed to, but overall, I found the experience worthwhile and enlightening. I will be forever grateful for the different cultural experience.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Canterbury is an extremely safe city to study abroad in. There has not been one moment during the program where I felt unsafe or uneasy about my safety. Everyone here is very friendly if you are friendly to them. There is little to no crime and you can walk on the streets at night without feeling vulnerable. The city is mostly composed of students, so you will generally always have people to rely on and walk with, and if you feel in danger, I feel that anyone would be willing to help you if you ask.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 80
