Broadreach: Program At Sea - Caribbean Marine Biology Voyage

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, I feel like this was such a great opportunity, and I am so lucky to have been able to go on this trip. I was very nervous before I left, but when it was time to go home, I didn't want to leave!

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 6 months+

While I was on my trip, I got a staph infection, and an ear infection. Many of the Broadreach instructors were very helpful, and were able to help me find the proper medical assistance.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

My program was so much fun! I felt it was really well rounded, and we spent equal amounts of time learning to scuba dive, sail, and learning about marine life.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $75-$100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I would highly recommend NOT waiting until the end of the trip to buy things, and don't buy things (like food) during your trip because it often becomes a problem, and eventually gets thrown away.
