Brigham Young University: Traveling - Global Marketing Study Abroad

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes! I learned more about the people in every country and their cultures. It was the perfect trip to be able to create opinions on those countries. I also learned a lot about the companies we visited and this was a great thing to do while in college as a prepare for a future career with companies like these.

Stay in groups and if possible always have a guy with you if you are a girl. Most the countries were pretty safe, but I'm convinced it does make a difference.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? No
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Roughly $100 per week, depending on the location.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Decide what is important for your experience.. shopping, food, experiences, etc. Food wasn't important to me, and eating at "McDonald's" like places saved me money and time I could spend elsewhere.
