Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I learned so much through this study abroad program. Not only about art and humanities, but also about myself and the world around me. It was difficult to balance traveling, sightseeing, and having fun with school work but it was worth it to learn so much in such a different way. BE ON TOP OF YOUR HOMEWORK.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The London Centre is a little old and run down but it's all about the experience! Bring a towel to drape over the see-through shower doors.

* Food:

The chef, Thais, was amazing! A bit exotic so not for the picky eaters. Learn to live on the centre's meals because it will help you save money.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt like we got a taste of what London is like through taking the tube and other things.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Depends on what you like to do. Unless you plan on staying in the centre all day, and not experience the city, then bring as much money as possible.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about $100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Eat the meals provided at the centre! They are good and will help you save money! Also, don't just go do everything, save your money for what you really want to spend your money on. Some people like seeing shows and others like doing museums. Don't be afraid to branch out and do what you want.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
