Boston University: London - London Internship Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Absolutely. People say that you will always have your friends from college, but I feel that way about study abroad. I met some of the most interesting people and made some of my greatest friendships.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

All of the events and parties planned by the program were so much fun. Also usually really cheap.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The exchange rate hurts really bad but you just have to be aware of what you're spending. That first week of getting settled depleted way more of my savings than it should have. It's a new place and you want to have fun and take advantage, but I wish I had paced myself.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Absolutely do it, no questions asked. It was the most amazing, life-changing, expensive thing I have ever done and I would do it ten more times if I could.
