Boston University: London - London Internship Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
London was an amazing experience and this program allowed me to network with professionals in London. I can definitely see myself moving there in the near future.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Small workload compared to home

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Very knowledgeable and willing to help students. My expectations definitely were met.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Dorm room w/ bathroom and a kitchen shared w/ other rooms.

* Food:

Must learn to cook for yourself to save money

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Just go out and meet Londoners and you will have a good time

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Numerous doctors in the area

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? London is extremely expensive and the exchange rate is terrible, so if you do not save up a significant amount of money you may be severely restricted.
