Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The emphasis wasn't as much on academic, but the classes were still interesting. Mostly, I focused on traveling throughout Israel.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Sometimes they were not as available as I would have liked. They also did not notify me of a meeting for a possible internship so I didn't show up and looked bad.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a dorm with 3 Israeli roommates--it was great!

It was a lot of fun, I was close to all my American friends but also got to live and spend time with Israelis.

* Food:

We had a kitchen in the dorms and my friends and I would all cook for each other regularly.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

So much fun!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Very safe, health insurance was easy to use

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Budget yourself, try not to eat out too much

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
Language acquisition improvement?

I think my language skill improved greatly because of my semester Hebrew course. I got a lot of personal attention and was forced to speak in Hebrew a lot.
