What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Learned much about different cultures abroad. Made me realize how much of the world has to be seen. I really now want to consider working abroad.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Half the work is all group work in Australia and the other half is the final exam. They don't baby you and check up on how you are doing really through the semester. You have to be on top of your studying. It's much not harder than the U.S. just different.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everything was easy to access and was satisfied with the services given.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Eating out in Australia is pretty expensive, stick to eating on campus.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Great Barrier Reef scuba diving was probably the best experience of my entire life.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Everything was very safe, and on-campus health services was right next to our dorm and always accommodating.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Australia's living standards are much higher than the U.S. As in minimum wage is 16-22 dollars. Everything is much more expensive in Australia. Add on top of that the currency exchange when I was abroad, the US dollar was weaker.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
