Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Two bedroom apartment- one room with two beds and one single room. Shared bathroom, common area, and kitchen. I lived with two Irish girls in Gort na Coiribe.

Loved the housing!

* Food:

I cooked all the time.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

there was an outbreak of the mumps! there was really nothing that could have been done but it was spreading through our program members and it was scary.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? your debit card company will have charges for converting your dollars to euro's and for using your card abroad, so everytime I used my card I was geting a 5-10 dollar charge for using it!

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Galway was the best place to study abroad, you had so much fun and really got to know the Irish students where as in other places it was strictly American's that stuck together.
