What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. I was able to not only learn alot about the world, but I learned alot about myself. I discovered who I was and was able to grow as a person.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was less than my home school but the type of school work was very different. It was not a continual assessment, rather an assessment of one or two papers.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The on site administration was helpful but in certain situations they did not know how to help us and we were left on our own. (ex: when the volcano cause some people to miss exams we were forced to fix them on our own)

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The housing arrangement was perfect, with a good mix of irish students along with international students. It provided us with the necessary amenities.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The social aspect of my experience was amazing. The people were awesome and I could not have asked for a more welcoming group of people.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Health issues were not addressed the same as they would be in the US. I felt that they were not as adequate because I had an ear infection and it did not heal until I saw a doctor in the US. (I went to multiple doctors in Ireland)

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I would definitely recommend this study abroad program to other students and tell them to make sure that they travel and enjoy themselves because it is a once in a lifetime experience.
