Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took two summer courses and didn't really pay much attention to them. As bad as that may be, I still did fine.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The ladies in the office were great; but the head of the office left much to be desired. He was awkward, rude, and fairly unpleasant.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There are two different properties that the students are assigned into. One apt. is a vastly inferior in quality; that complex is the one to which I was assigned. This assignment did a good deal of damage to my experience abroad.

* Food:

Irish food and drink is incredible.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Irish culture is incredibly easy to assimulate.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Full health coverage.

* Safety:

Dublin, and all of Ireland, is incredibly safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I met some of the most incredible people; local and American. The Americans I befriended plan on meeting up once a year to see eachother again and share memories. My friends in Ireland may be finding me a job in Dublin.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I went out a lot, and drinks were expensive... so I spent a lot. However, one probably could make it on a student budget.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I couldn't say. I probably spent 4 thou
