Sometimes it is hard to practice your Greek with locals because they are trying to practice their English. So you will have a lot of conversations where you speak Greek and they respond in English.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The teachers are amazing!
  • Everyone at the Center is extremely helpful and nice.
  • The neighborhood is great, you really get a feel for Greek life living there.
* What could be improved?
  • A "de-orientation" would be nice - adding more time between the end of classes and your journey home
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? No fear and no hesitation! It's a lot easier said than done, but be ready to make a fool out of yourself while attempting to speak Greek and literally sprint across a street to avoid traffic. You'll make a couple of mistakes along the way, but you'll never make the same mistake twice!
