What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

The API staff are WONDERFUL and I was more than pleased every time I visited the office in Barcelona.

* Housing:

A host family is the way to go! I got to know a different part of the city than most, and immerse myself in the culture by participating in holidays with the family and eating new foods.

* Food:

Mediterranean food is the way to go... I miss it every day, everything was so fresh! Walking down the street and smelling the fresh pastries from the bakeries was my favorite.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The culture was so fun to immerse myself into!

* Health Care:

I never felt unsafe once! It was so nice to be in a big city and never have to worry. I would say stay sharp and alert for pick pockets!

API had so much to offer and I was so happy with my decision to travel with them.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
