Ghent University Law School is located in the historic center of the city of Ghent, Belgium.  Occupying several historic seventeenth and nineteenth century buildings, it has modern teaching facilities, well-equipped computer labs, and excellent libraries on domestic, foreign, European and international law.

The University's Law School currently offers postgraduate programs in European law, business law, environmental law and criminology.  Through the Law School's exchange program,  students can take classes in areas including business, human rights, environment, intellectual property, criminal, and European law, all taught in English. For students interested in business law, Ghent offers courses in trade, investment, finance and antitrust law.

Fall: September - January
Spring: February - July


The official language of study is Dutch. However, exchange students can take English-language courses offered by three postgraduate programs, the Master programs in European and International Law, International Business Law, and European Union Law. A growing number of courses are taught in English.
