What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained experience in the field of journalism and now have published articles that I can show to future employers. I also have improved my language skills and feel much more comfortable speaking in Spanish

Because my roommates were also American and I didn't have an internship that required me to go to an office every day, I think I did not get as integrated into the culture as I could have.

Adelante was a great and affordable program that gave me valuable work experience
