The best part was meeting all kinds of different people and getting to interact with all types of cultures. Meeting so many people and traveling while in Europe was the best. The trip has positively influenced my cultural awareness and attitude. I feel so much more worldly as far as relationships and communication goes.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Workload was fine. Teaching methods were somewhat lacking. I absolutely hated the grading scale. It is very difficult to translate what grades mean according to my home university. Also, it seems the majority of professors feel satisfied with giving students grades that are below personal standards of the students. Expectations were not as clear as they should have been. |

Accessibility was hard, due to the fact of such limited working hours. I liked the student events sponsored and the intro week activities. There was a high level of host country knowledge. There were about 200 exchange program people I believe. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I lived in a house owned by a landlord, but who was partnered with the international center. Safety level was fine, never had any problems. Landlord failed to take out trash or upkeep the yard, which was his responsibility. House had mold and was quite old. However, living with 12 other international students was a blast. About 10 minute bike ride from class and downtown. I had to buy my own bedding, but all the cooking utensils were provided by previous residents. |

Safety was good, Denmark is a very safe place to be. Just avoid unnecessary arguments with intoxicated individuals. Two of my friends broke bones while abroad playing soccer and the healthcare system was there, but help and outreach was minimal. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | The public transportations costs quite a bit. Eating out in Denmark is really expensive. Try to cook your own food if you can. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | A sociable, yet academically sound individual is best for a program like this. Most of the value from going abroad comes from the experiences, not the academics. Therefore, the person going needs to be ok with going outside their comfort zone as well as keeping up academically. |
