The kingdom of Jordan is located in western Asia on the East bank of the Jordan River. It neighbors Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, and Israel. A large part of Jordan is covered by the Arabian Desert and enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with average temperatures averaging 55 degrees in the winter and 90 degrees in the summer. Jordan is inhabited by both a Arab population, as well as a European population. The dominant religion in Jordan is Islam.
