Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 6 months+

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Very liberal arts focused education. I preferred the classes at Yale-NUS than NUS. The classes are very small, which means professor's are much more attentive to students, and there is a lot of group work which I like.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Choosing classes is very complicated and they are not very flexible at NUS (not Yale-NUS), but appart from that the administrative staff is very attentive.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very nice, apartments are clean spacious, cleaners come to clean the apartments once a week.

* Food:

Food is good but not very varied. Mostly asian food, I was sometimes missing western cuisine.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Extremely safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

There is no other city that enables us to travel as much while following such a high level of education.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It was cheaper than Boston or NY for some stuff like food and rides. But still pretty expensive.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 400
