What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worth Every single penny. I feel as if I have learned so much and also just learning how much I don't know about at the same time.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I felt as if there was too much work to considering all of the other things we were doing. I understand we were there to study, but I felt as if I worked harder for those 12 credits than for any 15 I had taken at home and my grades definitely reflected it in the sense that I did worse. I liked that they eased you into the work rather slowly, giving you time to adjust to the culture, but once they completely submerged us into the work, then I felt completely overwhelmed, instead of enjoying my time abroad. I really enjoyed the diverse teaching methods and seeing the differences between a Scottish professor and the American professors.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I really enjoyed living in the Dalkeith House in the country, but I wish we were closer to the city. I didn't like the feeling of being closed off with a bunch of Americans. I felt as if we had our own little American territory, though, at the same time, I did feel safe in the house.
