Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I thought that the classes had the right amount of challenge and that there was plenty of support from the tutors! However, most of the assignments could be done without attending class, but we still had to attend 70% of all the classes. It was just very different from what I was use too!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I didn't think that the host country on-site adminstration did a good job of the arrival and dismissial days. Day 1 we were dropped off at our rooms, we did not know meal times, where any buildings were located, and it seemed like we were left stranded! Also we were kicked out of the dorms whether we were leaving that day or not.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Rooms were big and nice enough! It was nice to have the toliet and shower cleaned daily

* Food:

Took some getting use too but we made it work. There was not enough money on our catering card to get even 2 meals for 7 days... this was very difficult to get use too!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was easy to talk to other students and I felt like a norml student!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

There were plenty of options for any problems that may occur!

* Safety:

There were some issues toward the end of our time there but they were delt with respectfully!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I budgeted about $200 a week and it was needed.

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? Yes
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? make a budget and try to stick to it as much as possible! Also save up on weeks that there is not much going on so that you can have extra money when you need it!
