What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
yes i am glad i experienced it, i feel i would have been better suited to have gone elsewhere but i still enjoyed my time in wales

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Only having one class a day and no tests was strange for me, but i found i was able to tolerate longer classes than i thought i would. The grading system is different but seems to be functional, it was just interesting to see the difference in how education works between Wales and America

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

i thought it all was pretty normal

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

the room was a single room that simply had another bed shoved into it, also the kitchen was tiny with a mini fridge for way too many people that you could never keep anything in it

* Food:

it was good for the first week but the same thing every week gets old, also i would have preferred lunch and supper instead of only breakfast and supper, and also meals on the weekends would have been nice.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved the trips to Dublin and Munich, traveling was so easy and so much fun over there

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

never really ran into any problems what so ever with safety

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? your only over there once so why not spend a little more than usual, but also be prepared for unexpected expenses

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
Language acquisition improvement?

learned a little welsh from some of the guys that lived around me, but it was never really needed, it was just funny to hear them sometimes hop between englsih and welsh at random

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Exchange
