I loved Wimbledon College and the course. I would have loved to stayed for the whole BA. The teachers and the facilities were amazing! Having access to the workshops with the helpful technician was great. Sadly I was not happy about the studying abroad program at all. I think it is an absolut rip off. Obviously education is expensive in this country and it was great to have all these facilities with qualified staff etc. but paying double as an international student is not worth it. I joined in the first term of my course where the different departments of the university got to know each other (which is technically a nice idea) but I wanted to invest the money to gain specific knowledge in this one course in particular. The 'getting to know task' for all departments was to create a play in groups of students from different courses. It was 90% unattended. It was just fun but not what I wanted to learn and not worth half of the fee. As the deadline for my course's final term project got extended I wasn't allowed on the campus anymore -because I just paid for term 1- I finished the project at home and just came for the presentation and the hand in day. I got a minus on my mark saying that my presentation had a lack creativity due to no usage of photoshop skills.. Which was a joke because I could obviously not use the facilities and I didn't have photoshop on my laptop. So overall I wish I had studied the course completely as a BA because it was absolutely great! But I would never recommend the abroad program to anyone. |
