What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This program affirmed and inspired me to follow similar styles of worship as a church musician. It was great to see firsthand how the Anglican worship is being practiced, especially with the choristers/choirmasters and the organ scholars. Their work ethic and their dedication to this service, both young and old, were exceptional. It was amazing to see that.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The Faculty Leader took very good care of us especially when my roommate and I had difficulty with the housing situation. He always made sure that we were enjoying the whole studies program and was concerned about our needs.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Our homestay in London was not good. The host mother was very strict and almost rude. We had to change to another host family. Also the location of our homestays were very far from our studies location and it was very inconvenient.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt that we didn't have enough opportunity to interact with the citizens (students) but we had ample time interacting and getting to know our own group especially in Cambridge when we would always get together for tea and discuss what we observed. It was our daily ritual!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Could stay at a university dorm instead of home stays.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
