In addition to a lot about my course, I also learned a lot about myself and my adaptability in a new place. Learned about British customs and a lot of Oxford history.

Food in my College's hall was excellent and cost-effective, although I mostly cooked for myself. Formal dinners were awesome! |

I had to visit the College nurse for a minor injury during the term who was very accommodating to me. There was no charge for this visit. |

I had no safety concerns whatsoever at Oxford, whether at the University or in town. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
This program was perfect for me and I hardly have any suggestions for improvement. I worked hard on my courses, but also played a sport and joined a choir during my time at Oxford, and through this met so many wonderful people. I enjoyed it so much that I definitely could have spent the full year here. One term was hardly enough! |

As food was not included, I found myself spending more on groceries and dining hall food out-of-pocket than at home. It was however definitely doable. It was also financially challenging not to be able to have a work-study job while abroad. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | You could really get bogged down by your courses here if you let yourself: don't forget to make plenty of time to involve yourself in student life and have fun! I was warned about this beforehand but it still is worth emphasizing that the grading system here is very different from what I was used to, the feedback you receive will be harsh, but it all will serve to make you a better, more resilient student and writer. |

Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events.
