Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

This was a great experience. I thought our instructor and adviser did a great job preparing the group before leaving. We knew the course outline like the back of our hand before we left, we knew exactly what to look for while we were touring Europe for two weeks to prepare us for our big reflection paper when we returned. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was okay with most of the hostels, but the Smart Hyde Hostel in London was disgusting. Our room tiny, the toilet didn't flush, and the shower was either freezing cold or scorching hot. I was not happy, and I was very excited to leave London because I hated our hostel.

* Food:

I wish there were more meals included in the trip cost because it added up very quickly while I was abroad.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

My favorite was going to the pubs during the evenings and listening to local bands play. I enjoyed socializing with locals and listening to traditional Irish music.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt safe the entire time. There wasn't one moment when I didn't feel safe. The instructor always made a travel with a buddy and informed us where not to go and also mentioned good places to go. I felt like I was back in America.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Do it or you will regret it! Going into this I was worried about money, but I'm so happy I took out extra loans to take this awesome opportunity. This is something you will never get to do again in your life. It was the most amazing experience. I was able to tour London and several cities and landmarks in Ireland. I also got to meet some amazing people, who I plan to stay in touch with for the rest of my life. Take advantage of this program, it's a lot of fun and I would do it all over again if I could!!!
