The Virtual Internationalization Program (VIP) by the University of Nicosia Global Semesters is a series of programs that allows university students to develop their international skills across academic, cultural, research or social dimensions.
VIP helps students and universities achieve internationalization goals for all their students, across with both academic discipline specific and cross-cultural focus areas.
VIP is a sustainable way for partner institutions to create a channel of internationalization experiences for students by taking advantage of UNIC’s excellence in distance learning. UNIC has been awarded the highest accolades for e-learning and distance learning education excellence, and has over 100 programs of study available.
VIP is also a way for students to become part of the UNIC family and access an international community of students, faculty and resources from all over the world.
This award is for semester students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
Students must mail their official transcript to Global Learning Semesters for verification.
This award can only be combined with our Early Deposit Discount.
Fall: April 15th
Spring: July 15th
The awards will be distributed on a rolling basis as a discount on program fees, to admitted students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above who request consideration until the spots are filled. There are 100 spots per semester.
The GPA will be verified by an official transcript received by mail.
We strongly recommend that students apply for this program before April 15th for Fall programs and before July 15th for Spring programs.
Global Learning Semesters awards the Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award to one student each semester. The student must be attending a semester-long program that is home-based in Cyprus. The award winner is selected based on academic merit, expected contribution to the group experience, and financial need.
This award is a $2,500 discount that is credited against program fees.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship a student must first be accepted into a semester-long Global Learning Semesters program based in Cyprus and then send us the following:
a copy of his or her latest FAFSA
a list of expected financial aid from other sources
an essay, not to exceed 600 words, describing what he or she will contribute to the group experience on the program
