Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Loved the professors and while some classes were challenging, not much homework is expected and the final counts for most of your grade.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were great, though not too involved with us after the beginning week.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

For college, they were rather excellent. Though we suffered our fair share of problems from leaking water from a busted pipe & to ants in the beginning.

* Food:

You have to fend for yourself, but the mall is near and lots of food options.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I met a few locals and became closer, but you don't need to really learn another language and a lot of the time you stay with the people from your program.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I was never really sick, but my friend was. Not the best... But works.

* Safety:

Very safe. Especially for this part of the world, you won't feel odd walking around at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

It was lovely... But I wish there was a little more to do on the island and easier to travel to other places.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Just pay attention to food. That's where you'll spend most of your money.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $90
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Eat with people. Do apartment dinners.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
