Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took a lot of introduction class so they weren't as rigorous as the classes i took that were higher levels

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The exchange student program is so large that you dont get a lot of personalized help but Sarah Bloor sends lots of helpful emails and will help you immediately if there is any issues

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Flats were clean and friendly

* Food:

Lived in a non catered hall-my flat had a kitchen so I made my own food

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Lived with regular UoM students so got to know the culture a lot better than if living with other exchange students

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Exchange rate is 1.6 so its very expensive!

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 275 per week including travel
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? if you are taking trips to other countries plan in advance-so much cheaper to book tickets months or weeks ahead of time
