What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
If you are iffy about doing something just do it (to a certain extent). I would rather walk away from a situation saying I did it just to do it rather than regretting not doing it later in life. Also take everything as it comes, things go wrong and you might get lost but i promise everything will be ok in the end. Also take advantage of all of the academic help that is offered, you don't often get this at a university level. This experience was definitely worthwhile.

There are different classes and people each semester so it would definitely be a different experience. It would also give me the opportunity to visit some places that I didn't get the chance to.

Finances

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? It differed greatly on different trips and the length of the trips, and if I had to go into town for items, but I typically spent between $200-$300
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Start saving early. I saved for three years and with my parents help also I was able to make it through the program without having to worry much about money. Be prepared for the first month or two because thats when you pay for all of the school trips and it can drain you very quickly if you don't have things planned out.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? You are going to miss home, there is no doubt about it. Keep up with people through FaceTime and texting so you can get home off of your mind so you can have fun traveling around Europe. Don't be afraid to do something, this might be your only chance to do it. Also get to know your professors, most of the time this is a new experience for them too, if it's not, they might have some tips for you.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
