Faith in Humanity Restored: At the Cost of Illness Ruining my Credits Past Review

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
People are wonderful and mystical, and when you find your friends--- your *real* friends--- it's all worth it.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It's easy if you don't spend it on anything else.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Budgeting was a concern; you could spend about 120-150 a week on food, and be set, but living expenses often delved into that money
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save up before you go! Having extra spending money (without having to get a tier 4 visa and work) is so helpful, I wish I had saved more.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Heavy question, but I wish I had known that the administration would make things difficult for me when it didn't have to be. It was at times imperceptible, but I needed to know when they were on my side and when they weren't. The shift was nigh instantaneous.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.

Programming I.

Course Department: Computer Science
Instructor: (Don't remember!)
Instruction Language: English
Comments: Difficult course; instruction was not easy, and I think that came down to the attitude of the teacher, which always felt a little caustic. Very hit-or-miss lectures, in terms of usefulness.
Credit Transfer Issues: Don't be sick for exams.
