The University of Derby is a public university in the city of Derby, England. It traces its history back to the establishment of the Derby Diocesan Institution for the Training of Schoolmistresses in 1851 and gained university status from in 1992 as one of the new universities.

The University of Derby is the only University in Britain's leading high tech city. It is the home of Rolls-Royce, Toyota and Bombardier.

Our main campus is in the city of Derby and is easy to get to by road, rail and air. London is 90 minutes away by train. We currently have over 800 international students studying with us from over 100 countries.

We have a wide range of courses that you can study and offer traditional postgraduate and undergraduate alongside pre-sessional English and progression courses designed specifically for the international market. You can study full time, part time or online. Wherever possible, our courses will be accredited or endorsed by relevant professional bodies.
