University of Cambridge, Pembroke College: Cambridge - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It is interesting to live in UK for 3 months. I might not have such an opportunity in the future.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 6 months+

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The weekly supervisions are the main ways to learn and the supervisors are extremely helpful. Lectures are optional, but are interesting to go to.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration of the Pembroke International Programme is wonderful. They hosted various events for all of the students studying abroad to connect with each other as well as the master of the college.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The housing is acceptable, but the distance between the dorm and the college is a little bit far.

* Food:

The dining hall is not bad, especially the breakfast. Formals serve relatively better food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

As students studying abroad, we can participate in almost all of the university's events and organizations.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I personally did not have health issues during the program, but the administration office seems to be helpful.

* Safety:

Cambridge is pretty safe. Walking on the street at night is relatively safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

2.5
