The Trip of a Lifetime Past Review

By (Elementary Education, Illinois State University) - abroad from 02/21/2014 to 05/05/2014 with

University of Brighton - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
During my time abroad, we did a lot of traveling as well as teach in schools. While we were traveling, we encountered many different languages that I did not know. This lead me to feel like a student who does not know English and figure out how I could help them learn. I also further learned how to work with diverse learners and how to accommodate each of them. Finally I was able to become immersed in a culture that I knew very little about.
