Personal Information

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

classes were challenging, but most of work was concentrated at the end of the term and learning was independent.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

there was some guidance in the beginning; but i still felt blind sited by some things.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

housing was fine...however did not like the way checks were made. did not like the way they communicated. Ucl uses this overarching web platform for academics/residential/adminstration...and i felt like i had no idea how it worked. I SPECIFIED A MAX BUDGET FOR HOUSING AND THEY EXCEEDED THAT IN THE DORM THEY PLACED ME IN....They have to be more clear and transparent about this process/not do that.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

i felt integrated by my living style, but i would say that students there are less open and friendly so i found it difficult to become completely integrated.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

i

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 30 pounds max
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? don't eat out so much and do free things for entertainment...walk a lot...
