Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

i loved all of my classes with the exception of film, but that was mostly because of the grading system for that class and not because of the class itself. the professors were fun and engaging and really cared about us doing our best while understanding that we also wanted to go out and explore the country, not just study.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

n/a

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

cook a lot. it's more fun and less expensive. do not but food at the university. it's too expensive.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

the ballet, meeting swedes, going to a karaoke bar, visiting the old part of the city, meeting and loving my contact family

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

health care was weird and the student health center was open twice a week for like 3 hours at a time. it was bizarre but luckily no one really got sick.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? stockholm is an expensive city especially when you are going out and even more especially in the case of alcohol. just be prepared. i suggest drinking with friends before going out so as not to spend too much money at bars or clubs.
