Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

quite shallow, since they enroll people with next to zero experience the first year is basically on a level of a youtube video tutorial

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

any AFDA student would agree that administrative process is the weakest point. A lot of overlays and confusions with a schedule and study process

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The list they provide is fine. Found a good landlord using it. However some positions on the list have wrong prices and incorrect details.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Everybody are quite outgoing and friendly

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

AFDA recommends Momentum health insurance it's allright.

* Safety:

Depends where you are from. You might find it troubling at firtst, It takes some time to adjust but once you do it's fine

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Capetown is quite expensive city

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Rent and food are obviously the biggest spenders. Cook for yourself. Find a house or a room in the house that you can rent with someone don't look for student appratments in a special complexes, they overcharge.
