The Trip I Never Knew I Needed Past Review

By (University of Wisconsin - Madison) - abroad from 02/01/2016 to 05/11/2016 with

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
There was a lot of practical knowledge that I gained in the classroom setting that I very much enjoyed, however I think the best part of the learning was the field work aspect that really allowed me to use those practical skills in a real setting.

I was skeptical when my mom first showed me this program and I was nervous because it was going to be my first trip outside of the country and I was going alone. But this experience was nothing like I expected and in the best way possible. Everyone is so helpful and you get to be part of a community that really does want to engage with you. You have so many unique experiences that I don't think I would ever not recommend this to someone.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
