I further developed the ability to quickly and effectively communicate with customers while solving their issues and answering their questions. I also learned how to effectively prioritize my responsibilities so that I did not miss important deadlines.

The staff at the Intern Group was helpful and eager to help during every step in this process from my initial interview with them until the day I left London. It can be difficult to secure a position with a company that fits your interests and goals as well as find housing with similarly minded people in a great location, in a different country. The intern group helped me accomplish both. I quickly felt at home in London thanks, in large part, to their local staff. They were eager to help with any concerns which, made for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

London can be an expensive place to live. You'll save a lot of money if you cook at home.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook at home. Check websites like Groupon that offer deals on things to do in the city.

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

Reasons For Studying Abroad

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
