I gained such a new understanding of cultural differences and similarities. Learned so much more about myself and who I want to be. Without a doubt an amazing experience thanks to Athena and hands down worthwhile!

BEYOND BREATHTAKING BEAUTIFUL PLACE!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Clean, family that runs the apartments are great. Greek styled which only adds to the cultural feeling

* Food:

Lots of seafood!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Because it was a super short program it was harder to feel like an islander, but by the end I felt like it was home... just wish I did a whole semester on this beautiful island.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

everyone is friendly and I never once felt unsafe walking by myself during the day or at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Beyond easy to stay within budget, and still have great greek food and some shopping!

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
