Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA): Traveling - Student Teachers in Costa Rica

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was absolutely worthwhile. I had a blast being immersed in the culture and not traveling like a tourist. We were in the middle of the culture struggling to relate and get by with the little knowledge we had of the culture, but by the end, we were traveling with ease and could form relationships with the people we came into contact with.
