What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned just how frustrating ELL students must feel when entering into a classroom. I was put in their shoes and found it difficult to communicate and understand. However, with time I was able to communicate with signals and pictures which is also a tool ELL students use. Overall, this experience was definitely worthwhile. Everything from learning the culture, exploring the beautiful scenery, and interacting with the locals.
