Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA): Traveling - Student Teachers in Costa Rica

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
What a great way to begin exploring the world! Visiting Costa Rica allowed me to expand my horizons as I was immersed in the heart of another country's culture. Costa Rica offered so many opportunities for my own personal growth as I gained a better perspective of my own self and culture. Even from a future teacher's perspective my philosophies have been refined and I have more empathy toward students who are the cultural other. If I had the chance to take part in this study abroad experience I would do it again without a doubt!
