I budgeted myself based on an agreement I had with my parents. I had a different budget than most of the other students.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? around $300 a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't drink alcoholic beverages- they add up. Look around before you buy souvenirs, the prices could be better in different places. Take some time to consider if you NEED something before you buy it. Only do laundry when necessary, and share machines with friends.
