Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program director was extremely knowledgeable about the host country and did everything in his power to make the trip a positive experience for everyone.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

No curtains in the rooms made it hard to fall asleep and adjust to light coming in at 3-4am.

* Food:

The food was the only unfulfilled expectation. I was expecting to get what we were told. Often times the food was prepared with the smallest amount of effort possible and the portions in some cases didn't feed all the program participants. The castle was having difficulty keeping a kitchen staff, but some sort of protocol should already have been in place so the incoming chef or other help knew exactly what food options were available and how they need to prepare.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved every field trip the program took us on!! For some it takes longer for the realization to sink in that they are visiting places people can only see on television, but is worth every penny. With your education you can always make more money, but you won't every be able to make those memories again.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
