Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

All of the teaching methods were different but that had to do with the courses that were taught. Come classes were traditional lecture, others were more hands on and conversational.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Some good things about the program was that it was a smaller group that went. I think having St. Cloud State faculty there was beneficial. It gave us a sense of home and we can continue the relationship when were back in the states. I LOVE living in the castle!!! No better way to spend 3 months in England. Wade Sherman was a phenomonal residential director! He is so knowledgable and is incredibly helpful and supportive.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a castle which was great! I did not have a host family and the only thing i had to buy was laundry detergent.

* Food:

Food was good! Cultural differences were overcome.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Lighting of the town with christmas lights was amazing!!!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

very safe place. Always walk in a group.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I wish I was told we would have to pay for laundry.

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
