Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Excellent. Nothing negative to say at all. It was an incredible experience with well-planned course structure. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I have never encountered a better staff. They were truly outstanding and addressed my every need. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
My host family addressed my needs perfectly and were very understanding. Location was fine - we were within a fifteen-minute car ride from our school building. Getting around the city was always rather straightforward. |
* Food: |
Food was great. I wish there was more awareness/accessibility for healthier foods, but that was no one's fault. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Everything. I could write an essay. We explored to city in all aspects. Traveled to Jerash, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Umm Qais, Petra, Ajloun, etc. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Nothing to complain about. It was important to be aware of your surroundings at all times. No extra vaccinations; staff had a number of doctors who were happy to check us out when we had any illness. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
|
Language acquisition improvement? |
An immersion environment is the best. Living with a host family that spoke Arabic helped me pick up on a lot of words and adjust to hearing the language. This, in turn, improved my pronunciation. |
