Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Where to begin with this. Teachers at Sheffield Hallam do not teach. During lectures they simply read what is exactly on the slide. As if they were reading a story to children. This made it very difficult to learn. The workload wouldn't be difficult if things were explained more clearly. The fact that their grading system is so low (only need 40 percent to pass)it allows students to be very lazy and put in minimal effort. Also, the teachers took 3 to 4 weeks to grade even the smallest assignment. They did not reply to emails in a timely fashion either. All in all if you want to actually learn, do not go to this university for finance.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Take very long to respond to emails.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I ended up staying at a dorm. At first the school said it was impossible for students to live in campus housing if you were only a single semester student. After they realized they could not find a lot of students housing they let us have the option of living there. It was a great choice. It was not nice by any means. I lived by myself, I had to buy sheets and pillows. The people were great though, everyone would meet in the common room and I quickly made a lot of great friends. So although it wasn't nice, it was wonderful being around so many people.

* Food:

Food was ok that was provided by the school

None

* Safety:

Safe city. One of the safest in England.
